Utah Valley Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K & 5K Reviews
You can say what you want about the actual course, everyone has differing opinions about hills, steepness, etc., it's the atmosphere that makes this race so great! Not only do the race organizers make sure everything is top notch (expo, start line and finish line, aid stations), but you also have streets packed with people the last 6 miles, cheering you on and helping you fight your way to the finish. I absolutely love the support that Utah county gives for it's runners.

I ran the full marathon, got up to the start line around 4:30 and all the blankets were all gone. Also disappointed in the amount of photos I received from the marathon. I understand that it is a program that is used by the UVM organization, but it was sad to get so few pictures, and the ones I was tagged in weren't of me. I ended up going though all 65,000 pictures to find the ones of me crossing the line. Ways to improve - make sure you have enough space blankets at the top for the marathoners who will be running. Please work on the program you use to sort pictures - it is such a bummer to run such a big race, only to get 1 picture out of it. Also still waiting for the YouTube video of the finish line that was available for the 2024 marathon.

Great song selection at the campfires before the race. There were tons of portapotties but even so, I almost left late because of the lines…but what can you do. Definitely had enough potties, we just all waited too long. Aid stations were placed well, love the course (hardest uphill is early in the course so it’s a good wake-up call to check your pace but it doesn’t destroy you), good views and very very fun. I died at mile 19-ish, stopped for the aid station and legs released all the pent-up pain. Shoved it back down, if I’d done more long runs it would have been tightness rather than joint/exhaustion pain so I’ll count my blessings. Waterfalls in the last mile or two was great, plus the aid stations were well stocked—I needed two cups at the last few stations. Liked the setup at the end of the race, with some immediately-available snacks and water and aid volunteers checking up on us staggering. Plus a bunch of easily-digestible food and music, that was nice even if I could barely see or hear for like 20 minutes. I’m just coming back to look at my time, then saw a little review button and decided to type something up. Thanks for the race!! …hey, what happened to my line breaks? I tried to format this for easy reading! Lol
The course is gorgeous and fast. The race is very well organized. Food at the finish line is the best I've had. The volunteers along the course at the aid stations are excellent. I only wish the start time wasn't so early. Catching the bus to the start line at 3:30 am is a bit rough.

This was a very pretty race. Well marked volunteers, road closures, etc., the expo was much bigger than I expected. It did have a few "uphills" for being a downhill race, but I never realized Utah was so pretty with the mountains, streams, very nice!

Fun and beautiful course

Beautiful course. Very well done. Would definitely run this one again

We traveled from Ohio and Indiana for this race and thoroughly enjoyed it. We'll organized and plenty of water /aid stations. The only dangerous part is the cyclist on the bike trail. Zero manners when passing anyone

Overall it was a fun course! The waiting 2 hours before the actual race in the cold wasn’t ideal, but it was tolerable. Volunteers were eager to help!

The best parts are the views, and quaint valleys near Walsburg's start, and the shady segments near Bridal veil falls.
