Freedom 5K Run

Freedom 5K run, July 4, 7:00 am in Woods Cross, Utah. Mountain View Park 1201 S Mountain View Blvd Woods Cross, Utah.  We have received permission from Woods Cross City and Davis County Health Department. This is a  USATF race. This is one of the only 4th of July races from Las Vegas to Boise. Social distancing is required. There will be day of registration from 6:00 am-6:30 am. Day of registration is $30 and you probably won’t get a shirt.  I felt really sad because there aren’t any 4th of July races this year. I worked hard to get approval and we got it. I feel lucky that we did. Packet pick up is July 03, 2020 at the park, from 6-8 pm. Morning pick up will be 6:00am-6:45 am on July 4. If you pick up on July 03, you will get a bonus raffel ticket. 

Race takes place on the Legacy Park trail. Runners will start one at a time, 6 feet apart from each other. This is an out and back run. Run 1.55 miles north on the trail and turn around. There is not an aid station. Water bottles will be available before and after the race. Take one with you, if you need one. 

There will be awards for the top 3 male and female overall. Age group ribbons. Results will be available on your smart phone by scanning a QR code. Results will take a little bit longer to be final because the race will take longer to start. You can wait around for awards but just social distance. Please respect the social distancing, It’s wonderful that we were able to get this race approved. Each runner is allowed 1 spectator.

I admit the shirts are not the greatest but this race only received approval on 06/18/2020. There isn’t a lot of time. Shirts are a white cotton T-shirt. Could be one of the only shirts you get this year.
