RACE DAY INFORMATION
Weber Cares Pantry Drive
This race includes a pantry drive for the Weber Cares Pantry. Any race participant who brings in donation items will receive an extra raffle ticket for the race raffle! A list of needed items will be sent out in the pre-race email.
Packet Pickup
Early packet pickup will be Friday November 1st, 11am-1pm at Ogden Running Company (address). We will also have packet pickup available on race day from 8:00-8:45am in the transition area in the A7 parking lot. If you pick up your packet early, you will still need to stop by the check in table on race day to pick up your timing chip. We will have a separate line for this to avoid a bottleneck.
Parking
The A7 Parking lot will be closed for the race. You can park anywhere on campus on Saturdays, and there is a lot directly across the street that should be available.
Bike Racks and Bike Drop Off
For those of you participating in the biking portion of the race, the bike racks are numbered based on your bib number. Your race bibs will be provided at packet pick up. We will have a few spaces at the A7 parking lot entrance blocked off for bike drop off. You can unload your bikes there and then move your car to a parking lot.
Pre-Race Meeting
We will have a pre-race meeting at 8:50am in the transition zone, and the race will start at 9am. We will be doing a wave start for the race as follows:
Wave 1: Tri Men @9am
Wave 2:Tri Women and Team Tri @9:05am
Wave 3: 5K and 1 mile participants @9:10am
Run/Bike Course
Our race course will be the same as previous years. Don't forget that the run is one loop, and the bike is two loops. Please note there are two traffic lights on campus for the OGX bus line. You must follow all traffic laws, and stop for those lights. The bus will not stop for you if they have the right of way.
Swim Course
The swim course is the same as in previous years. Each lane is one way, so you will swim up one lane and down the next until you get to the stairs, hop out, go back to the starting lane and repeat. Once you've done your second loop, get out at the stairs and go through the finish line on the pool deck.
Awards/Raffle
Stick around after the race for our awards and raffle! Awards for the 5K Trot will start at approximately 10am, and awards for the Triathlon will start at approximately11am. Please be patient for awards, we do try to wait until all the racers have finished before presenting awards. Awards and activities will be in the Wildcat Arena this year. The arena is on the first floor, and we will have signage directing you down from the pool deck. We will have some family friendly activities set up while you wait, including lawn games, a stretching area, and a coloring table.
