Monster Dash 5K & 1 Mile Family Fun Run

Join us virtually, at a time and place of your choice, for the Stamford Y's Annual Monster Dash 5k and 1 Mile Family Fun Run! This is an exciting fundraising event, raising money to provide financial assistance to families who are not able to afford after-school care for their children.

This year will be a little different - here is how it works: You chose a day between Saturday, October 23, 2021 @5am and ends Sunday, October 31, 2021, at @11pm, pick a location that will allow you to respect social distancing guidelines, and a time that works with your schedule to do the race! The Monster Dash has something for everyone; there’s even a 1-mile fun run for children and families. Since this is a virtual race, you decide when and where you will complete your race. Do you have a treadmill at home? That'll do! Want to go for a bike ride? OK! Rather than running outside? That works too! Whether you're training, looking to compete in another race, or just want to get moving, your participation will help raise awareness and funds to support our work in the Stamford community.

All proceeds benefit the Stamford YMCAs after-school program, LEAD Academy (Leadership, Enrichment, Acceptance, and Development). LEAD Academy offers children academic enrichment, homework support, swim lessons, nutrition, fitness, and mentoring. The Stamford Y relies on the support from donors to ensure our after-school program operations are sustained and families from low-income households are given the opportunity for their children to thrive.

Race Fees: 

Adults / Youth (ages 5 to 18) $20 (Register before September 21st and you'll receive a T-shirt)

After September 21st:

Adults FREE / Youth (ages 5 to 18) (will not receive a T-shirt)

Children 4 and under: Free (will not receive a T-shirt)
