(race date estimated)Payson Prayer Run 2025 Race Description
The Payson Prayer Run is May 3rd 2025 and is being held by the Payson Interfaith Council and is a call for prayer for the community of Payson. As we run this course, there will be different prayer focuses for our city to pray for along the route. It is a 13.1 mile circle around the city. You can run the entire 13.1, run a 10k course or 5k course.
The run will begin and end at the Hope Community Prayer Chapel. There will be shuttles to get you to the different starting stations.
This is not a race. There is no pressure to compete, but would like for runners to pray along the course for our great community.
Registering for this event online is $10.00 Same day registration will be $15.00. Unused proceeds or any donations will go to the Helping Hands of Payson, which is used to help those struggling here in Payson as in utility bill assistance, assistance after a tragedy, etc...

Inspiring Run
Last year was a beautiful event. It was inspiring to run with no competition, but rather in fellowship of prayer. There was a great feeling of community and ringing the bell at the end was fun. Route was quite well marked, but keep an eye open for arrows and don't assume that every runner you see is in the race, lest ye be led astray. Hope you'll join us this year.

Fun run with a purpose
This great event started with a brief and inspirational devotional, then every mile or so there were prompts to pray for specific things that would make the community and myself as a member of the community better. Fun with a purpose. The 10k course itself was mostly flat, pretty fast, and had little traffic. Volunteers were helpful and kind. Course was well marked.
