Cookie Chaser 5K/2K

This is a super fun and family friendly community event. Our participants have ranged in age from 3 to 90!  You can do the 2K, the 5K or the "Do-Si-Do" and run BOTH the 2K AND 5K races! 

Both runners and walkers are encouraged to participate!  If you're not a runner or walker, you can come be a cheerleader!  You can even sign up for a cheering kit!  The race is organized by the Oquirrh Girl Scout Community volunteers to generate support for Girls Scouts of Utah.  Proceeds are donated to Girl Scouts of Utah for scholarships to ensure that all girls who want to go to camp have the chance, regardless of financial or other obstacles. 

The Oquirrh Girl Scouts are hosting the 16th Annual Cookie Chaser 2K/5K on April 20th, 2019 at Riverton Park in Riverton, Utah.  This is our way to give back to Girl Scouts of Utah and raise awareness in the community about the opportunity to participate in Girl Scouts.  Since our first race in 2004, we have given more than $17,000 and bought a horse for Trefoil Ranch.  The Cookie Chaser Race has become a tradition in our Oquirrh Community and we want to share the fun with you!  

Complete with cookies at the finish line for 1st place winners in each age category and a fun, post-race raffle for prizes provided by our great sponsors.  Participating Girl Scouts can earn a Cookie Chaser Patch which incorporates well with the steps to earning many of the badges in the Athlete Category of the Girl Guide binder.
