The Falkathon fun run and fast walk for Thanksgivings Heroes

Falking is a fast walk event. We will be looking to do a 5k flat course. This is a family friendly event. Please help us feed families this year. Last year we fed 877 families. This was our first year and we were so blessed to have contributers donate their time and or money to the cause. This year we have a lofty goal to feed 3000 families. We buy the food for you then you and your family gets to deliver the food to families in need. We find these families by talking to the local school districts. Ask any teacher about their class and they know who is struggling. We get the list of families from the school dist and bring them that important meal. Thanksgiving is a time for families to be together and we provide enough food for them to make the meal last. This has been a dream of mine since I was a young boy in south Texas. Some strangers knew we were struggling and provided for us. I remember the gratitude I felt for these people. I knew in my heart that I wanted to do that some day.

Last year my children helped feed families. My kids want for nothing and have a blessed life. How can I let them know how blessed our life is? On Thanksgiving day after they deliverd food to 3 families things were difrent. My daughter looked to me with teary eyes and expressed her gratitude for her life. She told me she was proud of what she had done. Right then I knew we would do this again and again as long as we could. Please join me this year as we prepare for the holiday. We only need to raise 180,000.00 dollars. What if you touch some young persons life and they grow up to pay it forward? What if you simply teach your kids to give and serve.
