The Classic Race Description
THE CLASSIC RACE is one of Utah’s longest lasting traditions. What started as just a road race in 1984 has turned into an event where 100’s of runners join together year after year to fight heart disease.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that Heart Disease is the leading cause of death in the United States- causing 26 percent of all deaths. Every year, McKay-Dee Hospital serves over 23,000 patients in their heart services department. The Classic Race is a fundraiser to support heart services at McKay-Dee Hospital. A portion of the proceeds from this event go back into the community for technology, education and awareness about heart issues.
So come join the movement in a good ol’fashioned “Classic” 10K or 5K and Run For Your HEART!
