The 31st Annual Leprechaun Lope 5K, 10K and 2-Mile Fun Run

The top female and male runners in the 10K and 5K will receive $25 gift certificates from Ace Hardware on 4^th East and 6^th S in SLC.  The Best Costume, and top Centipede Teams will receive a dozen of the Best Cookies in the World from Paradise Bakery and Café.

Get ready to get green and get silly! Come join 1000 costumed runners in the 30th Annual Leprechaun Lope. 100% of profits - over 70% of your entry fee - benefits Our Lady of Lourdes School. Watch for real leprechauns hiding along the courses! All races start at the State Capitol and finish in Memory Grove. The 10K starts at 8:30 AM sharp.The 5K starts at 8:35 AM sharp.The 2 mile run run starts at 8:40 AM (not timed).

Course Details

The 10K and 5K courses are US Track and Field Certified. The 10K course proceeds up City Creek Canyon about two miles then circles back. The 5K course proceeds up Bonneville Blvd and circles back. All courses end together in Memory Grove. 

Race Division Details

Centipedes are 4 runners linked together by a common costume or ribbon. Each team member gets a shirt. Each team gets one bib. All Centipede team names will be on all the shirts. Centipede teams are a great way to promote corporate wellness and build team spirit. Clydesdale/Athena is a division for bigger men/women.

The Leprechaun Lope has a 30 year track record of being fun. The 31 st Annual LL will be on Saturday March 14 th , 2020, starting from the State Capital punctually at 8:30AM. Register on-line at RaceEntry.com or Active.com. The 10K and 5K courses are USTF Certified. Excellent chip timing will be provided by RunSum. Runners will receive a text with their race stats within moments of crossing the finish line. All pre-registered runners will receive a tech shirt. With our all volunteer staff, 100% of the profits benefit Our Lady of Lourdes School and the Judge Memorial Catholic High School Track Team.
