Save a Stray 5K & Festival to support Midcoast Humane
Enjoy some exercise with friends and family (the canine ones, too!). All are invited to run the 5K or take a leisurely, one-mile stroll at L.L.Bean in Freeport. Join us afterward at the Festival, which features canine contests, doggy demos, face-painting, Dock Dogs and MUCH MORE!
The Save a Stray 5K & Festival supports Midcoast Humane’s mission of making life better for animals and people in our community. We provide life-saving veterinary care, food, and comfort to 3,400 stray, surrendered, abandoned, and abused animals every year. Midcoast Humane provides adoption and pet retention services, community support, humane education, and contracts with 40 towns, from Falmouth to Washington.

This is our second year to run the race & we love it! The weather & the course are perfect. The location- the L.L. Bean campus- is great. It's convenient & also just a very pleasant place to hang out. We also love watching the DockDogs & the other activities going on in conjunction with the race. We are making this an annual tradition! :)

Fun race through downtown Freeport. Awesome to see so many people running with their dogs, and fun dog themed event to follow. Totally worth doing again!

Great course! It was fun to support their cause and run with my dog.

I always look forward to this event which focuses funds for local animal shelters. They do a nice job with festivities after and LL Bean is a nice area to visit and look around. This years race seemed a bit rushed at the beginning with start announcements. Good snacks and beverages after the race was a nice treat.

I enjoyed how much fun it was to run with your dog. People were responsible and all the dogs and runners were good sports and friendly!
