Run for Matt 5k Race Description

The Run for Matt 5k is a 100% nonprofit event where all of the proceeds will support the Limbs for Life Foundation.

In late 2019, my father, Matthew passed away from septic shock. He had one leg amputed above the knee, and his other leg was amputed below the knee. An infection occured in his bloodstream, starting at one of his amputations.This October, will be his 6 year passing anniversary. In his memory, I have decided create the Run for Matt event.

The Limbs for Life Foundation, helps support amputees globally who are in need of fianicial aid in their prosthetic care process. Worldwide, there are about 30 million people who cannot afford a prosthetic that will allow them the same life experiences that we are given.

On Saturday, September 20th, at Blackstone Valley Technical HS, from 10am-3pm, I welcome you to come run, walk, or jog a 5K in memory of Matt, and helping other amputees around the world who are in need of support in their prosthetic care. Invite your family and friends to come and help.
