Provo City Half Marathon - 5k Race Description

Welcome to the 10th Annual Provo City Half Marathon presented by SMILE CENTER of Utah! The Half Marathon is a fast and scenic course which begins at South Fork Park and finishes in downtown Provo. This is definitely the event to get your spring off to the right start and test your endurance after a long winters break! This downhill course is perfect for the rookie or the seasoned veteran, so be a part of this year's race and earn yourself a blazing fast PR!

We continually strive to make this one of the best races in the valley for runners and spectators alike. The finish line is always a party with music, Maglebys Fresh breakfast, massages, entertainment and activities for kids, and of course an abundance of random prize giveaways. As the original downtown Provo race, we are ready to prove once again that Provo knows how to have a good time!

The Half Marathon course is USATF certified and all participants will be chip timed and receive gender specific performance shirts. Half Marathon finishers will also be rewarded with custom finisher medals.

Very good for beginners

This course is an excellent race for those unsure about how much they can take. There is relatively little drop in elevation and the course is almost a straight shot.

Favorite Event in State of Utah

I'd heard a lot about Run13 events so my expectations were set really high. The Directors and Volunteers were so helpful and friendly throughout the event. The course is fast but not so steep that it hurt my knees. Loved running into downtown Provo and have such a massive welcome party as I arrived! I'm definitely running it again and recommend anybody else run it as well.

aide stations were wonderful however the mile markers were not very well marked on the Provo river trail I was always having to look down on trail to see how far I have run
