Go Catchathon Race Description

Utah's premiere Catchathon event!  Registrants have 90 minutes to catch as many Pokemon as they can while simultaneously being entered into drawings to receive iTunes and Google Play gift cards, battery packs, Chromecasts, a TV and more.  Registration is $10 a person and gets you a choice of Poke Ball pendant or keychain.  Come win cash and prizes, but most importantly LOTS OF POKEMON!

Rules:

Check-in begins at 6:00 pm on August 12th

Catching begins at 7:00 pm on August 12th.

Catching start location is at the historic county courthouse, 51 S University Ave in Provo, Utah.  Lures and PokeStops will be up and down Provo City Center Street.

Catching end location will be the the Covey Fine Arts Center, 425 Center St, Provo, UT 84601.  Prize drawings will occur here promptly at 8:30 pm.

There will be a grand prize for the individual who catches the most Pokemon in the 90 minute time period.

Additional drawings will occur at the end of the event for Google Play, iTunes, restaurant gift cards, Sundance zipline,  Chromecasts, and more.

Registration will close at 8:00 pm on August 12th.

Score totaling will be accomplished by taking a screen shot of the number of Pokemon in your backpack at 7:00 pm and comparing it to the total in your backpack at 8:30 pm.  Pokemon transferred to the Professor for candy will not count towards your score.  To ensure you don't limit your maximum catch numbers it is recommended that entrants have at least 100 free spots to store caught Pokemon.

Screen shots taken before 7:00 pm will disqualify entrants from the grand prize.

Screen shots taken after 8:30 pm will disqualify entrants from the grand prize.

Gather at the Covey Fine Arts Center with your screen shots for verification of your conquests.

Screen shots may be taken after 7:00 pm or before 8:30 pm.  It is recommended that a screenshot be taken a few minutes before 8:30 pm to protect against disqualification and then additional shots taken closer to 8:30 pm to track your last few catches.

Have a whole ton of fun!

This sounds like a great idea... But we should be raising money for children's hospitals or businesses that actually support players of Pokemon go. Not a library that shut down its pokestops.
