Be a SUPERHERO Run for a Cause. Wellness Wagon 5k Race Description
The Wellness Wagon is a life saving program that provides individuals of all ages from the Uintah Basin (Daggett, Duchesne, and Uintah Counties) with FREE medical transportation to the Salt Lake City and Provo, Utah area medical facilities. This program is operated 100% on community donations. Individuals utilize this service for various reasons including; low income, lack of access to care, no means of transportation, not to mention the burden of the long drive. The van made its first trip on April 3, 2008 and has helped community members for the past seven years. As of March 2015 the van has transported 2,199 individuals making 1,120 round trips to Salt Lake City area. This life saving program costs between $8,000 to $13,00 a month to operate.
