Action Against Hunger

The global hunger crisis affects over 800 million people. That is nearly 1 out of 9 people on Earth. Every 3.6 seconds a person dies of hunger, and 75% of them are children. Hunger is an international issue that needs to come to an end.

The Race Against Hunger is a charity 5k Walk/Run. All profits from the race will go towards the non-profit organization, Action Against Hunger. It is an international organization dedicated to ending world hunger. Action Against Hunger was given a 4 out of 4 star rating by charity navigator, placing it among the top 2% of all charities. The event is Sanctioned by the USATF. Registration is by donation only. The recommended donation is $20 but any contribution is greatly appreciated. The event will be officially timed by Tristate Timing. Those who want to be scored are asked to pay the $25 Competitive Fee.

The Event will take place from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm. The race will start at 11:00 am and end at 12:00 pm. A raffle and interactive displays about the global hunger crisis will take place from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm.

Though ending world hunger may seem daunting, you CAN make a difference.
