Enrique “Kiki” Camarena was a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent, who lost his life in the effort to keep harmful drugs off the streets of America. In commemoration of Kiki’s sacrifice, and in acknowledgment of the thousands of agents and officers just like him who strive to make our world a safer place, the Young Marines run the Drug Demand Reduction (DDR Dash) 5K as part of our national Red Ribbon Week efforts.
Each race participant* will receive a 2018 DDR Dash t-shirt. *Limited supply. Register early to ensure you get a shirt. Race day registrations will get shirts based on supply availability.
The first 50 Elementary age kids to sign up will also receive a 2018 DDR Dash medal.
An after party for runners and guests will be set up with vendors and food after the race.
Winners in the following categories will receive medals:
A trophy with the winner's name for each youth category will be presented to their school for display through the year following the race. This trophy will add winner names each year and travel from school to school based on annual race results. Must have 10 runners in age category to award trophy.
