I love this race & what it is there to support. I am really unhappy that they decided this year to do away with age brackets. that was one of the reasons that I first did this race. I am 65 & without age brackets, I really don't have a chance. I hope they bring them back for next year!!!

Although I liked that the course was different this year, there were some spots where the sidewalk was uneven, rough and narrow which made it a little difficult especially in larger groups. Also wasn't too crazy about the hills being at the end.

I was very disappointed in your volunteer that was on a bike. She was harassing me and my daughter. Not only did she do it once but she came by us twice. We had our headphones on and she harassed us about having our headphones on. She continued to tell us that we needed to take them off and "connect" with each other and with nature and that we needed to "talk" to each other. I didn't see her harassing anyone else. I tried kindly to tell her to leave us alone but she was not understanding.

Very enjoyable course and for a great cause! First time doing the Carbon Valley Half and I would definitely do it again. Personally, I would be in favor of an earlier start (6 or 6:30am) and would love to see the course modified slightly as that final segment running PAST Centennial Park in mile 12 (going down to Hwy 52 and back) was a mental grind. Overall though, I enjoyed it and would recommend to others!

This was a great event for a great cause. It was nice to see an increase in runners, especially some top quality athletes! The registration and packet pick-up was easy & convienient. The course was well marked with lots of volunteers to help point the way and encourge the runners. The medals and t-shirts were great. As a suggestion, maybe try to get a sports cream brand to sponsor or donate some product. It would be helpful at the aid stations especially later in the race.

I loved the new course and venue. I wish that there was an option for a swag free race. I would gladly pay the same registration fee. Additionally, I wish the 5k awards were closer to the 5k finish time.
