We Save Each Other Virtual Race

The We Save Each Other Virtual Race means you can participate anywhere, anytime you wish by doing what you already do – walking or running with your dog, by yourself, with a friend…you choose! There's no need to report mileage or the date you participated in this event. It's all based on the honor system. Of course, we hope you'll share your race times and photos on the Rosie Fund Facebook page to commemorate the event and show your support! 

Who benefits from this Virtual Race?

All proceeds from this event will be used to support Rosie Fund, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Kansas City, Missouri. The mission of Rosie Fund is to provide humans with the resources and education they need to give senior and harder-to-adopt dogs a better life. 

Established January 2016 in memory of Rosalita Patience (who preferred to go by Rosie), Rosie Fund helps other dogs like her find their forever family by funding adoption fees, providing pet insurance and helping with the medical expenses that sometimes result from the treatment they received prior to rescue. Rosie Fund is operated entirely by volunteers and relies on donations from supporters, like you. 100% of the proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to support senior and harder-to-adopt dogs!

What do I get for participating?

You will be mailed a fabulous medal for participating in this event. This year's medal features our sweet Rosalita Patience. It's 2” with a gold polish finish and comes with a maroon neck ribbon. A new medal will be featured each year. We hope you will want to collect them all while helping give senior and harder-to-adopt dogs a better life! 

AND . . . if you register your dog to participate, they will receive a dapper We Save Each Other bandana!

What if I want to help but I don’t want to run or walk? 

You can donate to Rosie Fund by clicking on the donate button at the top of this page if you wish to help our cause without participating in the race (you will not receive a medal).
