Volition America Half Marathon and 5K - Charlotte

Join us at Mayhew Promenade for the Volition America Half Marathon & 5K in beautiful Mooresville, NC. This stunning city is located just 40 minutes outside of downtown Charlotte, NC. This half marathon series is the first of it's kind to honor America through running and is steeped with patriotic distinction. This chip timed event offers a scenic course through beautiful Mooresville, NC. The half marathon course is the flattest course a runner will find in the Charlotte area. It is fast, flat and scenic. Run down Brawley School Road toward the Point neighborhood. Three loops will give runners spectacular views of Lake Norman. After the third loop, the runners will head straight back down Brawley School Road to the finish line. This course is definitely PR worthy. After victoriously crossing the finish line you can refuel with a variety of refreshments and enjoy live entertainment in Mayhew Promenade.

The 5k course is flat and fast heading south down Brawley School Road before turning at the Lake Norman Tavern for a very fast trip back to the finish line. This is a great course for a first time 5k runner/walker or for someone who is looking to set a personal record. Half Marathon and 5K participants will receive a Volition America Technical T-Shirt and Finisher Medal.

This run has been a favorite for the Lake Norman area runners for many years. Now, for the first time, Lake Norman runners will have a chance to run on their home turf.
