Trooper Kenny Velez Memorial 5.11K Race & 1 Mile Walk Description

About the Trooper Kenny Velez 5.11K race.

On September 15th, 2016, while conducting traffic enforcement on the 90 interstate in Cleveland, OH. Trooper Kenneth Velez unit # 511, a 27-year veteran of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Cleveland Post was killed outside of his vehicle after being struck by a passing vehicle. Kenny V, just 48 years old and just a few days from retirement was an avid sports fan, very involved father of three, and a great and fair person in and out of his uniform.

In honor of Kenny V’s life lived and selfless service to our communities, we invite all to attend the 3rd Annual Trooper Kenny Velez 5.11K Race and 1 Mile Move-Over-Walk on Sept 7th, 2019 @ 08:05am in the festival area behind the Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain Ohio.
