Black Toenail Friday Half Marathon & 7.5 Mile Race Description

Thanksgiving Weekend Tradition

Kick off the holiday season with a late morning trail race! Crisp air, evergreens, and the quiet beauty of Michigan’s late Fall create the perfect backdrop for your Black Toenail Friday run. Whether you’re chasing a PR or soaking up the vibes, this race is your chance to leave the holiday stress behind and make the most of your long weekend.

Leave the crowds to the mall and join us on Friday, November 28, 2025, for a Half Marathon or 7.5 Miler. With an 11:00 AM start, you can enjoy Thanksgiving dinner and still sleep in. The well-groomed trails of Proud Lake State Recreation Area are easy to navigate, and parking is conveniently close to the start/finish line.

This isn’t just a race—it’s a tradition. Don’t miss your chance to be part of Michigan’s favorite Black Friday running event. Register now, claim your spot, and join a community of runners who know there’s no better way to kick off the holiday season than on the trails!
