Trip or Treat

October 31^st –  

Halloween Trail Run/Walk/Hobble & Canicross 

Location:  Alpine Valley Ski & Golf Resort   Elkhorn, WI 

Starting Times: 

Canicross  10:20 

Trail Event  10:30 

Trail Loop Distance:  Estimated 4 miles 

Distances: 4m, 8m, 12 and 16 miles (walkers/ruckers 12 miles is the max distance) 

Run solo or put a team of 2,3 or 4 runners together to enjoy the fun together. 

Those with young children, perhaps this is the perfect opportunity get your run in as mom and dad take turns running and child watching!  

The course, well it is flat at the bottom of the ski hills!!   You will be running on the single track mountain bike trails for 90% of the time.  These trails wind up and down and around the ski slopes to test mental focus (as there are exposed roots & rocks on the trail) and you willingness to accept the continuous ups & downs  of the trail. 

Many have shared these are some of the most challenging trails in SE WI. 

This event is free for all Active Duty, Veterans, Reserves, Law Enforcement and their spouse.

Part of our Trick -or – Treat, is that parents are invited to have your children run along with you.  All children 13 and younger with their parent can run for free. No swag for the children running, but we will have a special Halloween candy treat for them.   If you want a choice of swag for your child, the swag will be $15.00.  

Race Day information: 

Packet pick up and same day sign up will start at  9:15am at the base of ski hill, south of the resort. 

If you would like to start a little early or a little late for some reason, you are welcome to do so. 

This event will be self timed and self reporting.   We will have finishing boards for the Canicross and once done you tear off the bottom of your bib, write you finishing time and distance/loops and tape to the board.  Yes instantaneous results!
