Stroke Awareness 5k Run-Walk - In Memory of Ardith Felzke Race Description

On July 8th, 2018 our family lost a great woman, Ardith Felzke, to a stroke. She was always there to support everyone in their dreams so we started this event in 2019 to honor her and bring about awareness on the signs and symptoms of a stroke.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the patients of OSF Rehabilitation to benefit those who have suffered the effects of a stroke.

Cost for the event is $30.00 which includes a t-shirt (please specify size). T-shirts are only guaranteed until May 24th. If you would like to be a sponsor for the event, the suggested donation is $25.00 and your business name will appear on the back of the t-shirt.

Registration and packet pickup will be from 8:00 am until 8:45 am e.s.t. the day of the event. Donations will also be accepted until the cutoff time. Race will begin at 9:00 am.

Top 3 race winners will be awarded medals and top 3 race winners in each age group will be awarded ribbons. This is a timed event. The path will start at the Karas Memorial Bandshell, going around the parking lot, racing along the Loren W. Jenkins Memorial Drive until turning onto Bath House Road going around the circle drive in the South parking lot before heading back to Loren W. Jenkins Memorial Drive.  Participants will then head towards Water Plant Road and circle the Escanaba City Water Plant and return back to Loren W.  Jenkins Memorial Drive straight back to the finish line at the Karas Memorial Bandshell after going around the parking lot again.
