Southern Utah Veterans Home Walk and Roll Race Description

This year's "walk and roll" takes place at 10 a.m.  Saturday, May 16,2020 at the Southern Utah Veterans Home.  After the walk, we invite participants to stay for a complimentary lunch.  Enjoy hot dogs, hamburgers, watermelon and root beer floats! This will be an opportunity to pay tribute to veterans while having fun and interacting with our veterans and staff.  Participants will receive a Walk and Roll t-shirt and a dog tag. The idea is to have fun, but also to honor those who have served and bring awareness to the challenges faced by veterans and active service members.

     

THIS WALK IS FOR VETERANS, INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES, & ANYONE WHO WANTS TO WALK A MILE WITH OUR NATION’S HEROES. WE ASK THAT EACH DISABLED PARTICIPANT IN THE WALK & ROLL HAVE SOMEONE JOIN THEM.

Super Easy Course

This is such a smooth easy course with a gentle incline and descent. You'll hardly notice it unless you are pushing a wheel chair. :) The veterans are wonderful and the cause is dear to the heart. We had a great time. The weather is perfect and the comradery on a 5k is super fun! Bring the family. Bring a stroller and stroll along at the back of the runners. Really great race.
