Shelton Stampede 4th of July Run Race Reviews

This 5k was very different than some other I've done, however coming from Omaha there was surprisingly more competition. At home I can usually get top 3. But here I might have gotten like 20th! I am oh so grateful for this being put together. It's even better with most of my family living down here, so much of my family was able to make it and I can't wait to do it again.

Course was nice and flat which was great for this out of shape guy! Was easy to find and well marked what the course was and what route to take.

This is a very nice small town event! The course is flat and easy to navigate. Well marked. It was great to see people in their yards cheering us on! the cross country team members seemed to be doing a lot of the registration work, which is amazing! There is some good competition in most of the age groups. And everyone is welcomed. I saw walkers, joggers, dog walkers and stroller runners! Most important, the T-shirt is really cute!

As someone who's attended the Shelton Stampede somewhere in the teens of years, I can confidently say it’s far more than just a race—it’s a community staple. Every year, it keeps growing while still maintaining its small-town charm and warm spirit. The energy, the organization, and the community participation never fail to impress. For anyone near Shelton during the 4th, this is a can’t-miss tradition that blends fitness, fun, and patriotism. Here's to many more years of running down memory lane and supporting the high school running programs at Shelton High School
