Red Brick Challenge Race Description

Red Brick Racers,

 
Welcome to the first Red Brick Challenge 5k and 10k road race.

 

Packet Pick Up:  Sunday September 30th, 6:30am-7:30am on the south side of Boyd and Charlies BBQ. Intersection of North Main and Elkhorn Drive in downtown Elkhorn.  Each participant will receive a pair of custom socks, race number and wrist band for post race refreshments.

 

Parking:  Participants are encouraged to park north of railroad tracks in Elkhorn.  There is public parking in the neighborhoods around downtown Elkhorn, Ta Ha Zouka Park and downtown Elkhorn.  

 

The 8:00am race start is located just south of the railroad tracks at the intersection of North Main and Park Road.  Map included.

 

After you finish the race join us for post race food and drink from Boyd and Charlies BBQ and Maximo’s Mexican Cantina.  The post race event will be located south of Boyd and Charlies on Elkhorn Drive. Please present your wristband if you wish to have a beer, ID will be checked at packet pick up.

 

Awards will begin shortly after the last participant finishes the 10K run.

The 2018 Red Brick Challenge

 

Come enjoy the burn of the Red Brick Challenge.  This is a 5K or 10K running or walking event that will start and finish in downtown Old Elkhorn beginning at North Main Street and East Park Road, starting at 8:00 am on September 30th, 2018. Runners will complete an out and back course on the historic red bricks of the Old Lincoln Highway.  Proceeds will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.  

 

All walkers and runners welcome! Each runner that signs up will receive a commemorative pair of race socks. This race is part of the Ironhawk #UnicornChallenge so watch for special unicorns hidden throughout the race!

 

We will have a very special prize for male and female overall 1st through 3rd Place, plus 1st through 3rd in the following race categories for both male and female-  Under 19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, Over 60.

 

Stay for the after party with food and beer from Boyd and Charlie’s BBQ and Maximos Mexican grill. There will be other food and drinks available as well.  We will have music and fun. We will be partying until 11am.
