Race to Embrace Description

ABOUT THE RUN

Join us Sunday, September 4th, 2016 for an incredible opportunity to have some fun and give back to local charities!

"Race to Embrace" is a 5K fun run that begins and ends at Ardenwald Elementary in the SE Portland/Milwaukie area.

Because of the generous donations from our sponsors, we will be able to donate 100% of every penny to Embrace Oregon, an organization that connects caring community members with vulnerable children and families in partnership with the Department of Human Services (DHS). Together, we can help mobilize safe, nurturing places for children involved with DHS to flourish!

FAQs

When should I arrive?
We suggest arriving 30-60 minutes before the fun run begins.

How many runners/walkers will there be?
We have a maximum of 100 spots available. We will be sharing the roads/sidewalks with other runners, walkers, and normal traffic, so our numbers are limited.

Are there any prizes or race t-shirts?
There are no prizes but there will be surprise swag for all finishers. Stay tuned for details!

Will there be any water on the course?
Yes. We will have a water station at the half-way point (1.5 miles). You can get bottle of water there.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Nope. Just print out your ticket and bring it to the race to get your bib number.

Are strollers allowed? Do I need a separate ticket for my child who will be riding in a stroller?
Yes, strollers are allowed. You do not need a separate ticket for your child as long as they are in the stroller.

Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Email us at theoffice@myhopecity.org.

Is my registration/ticket transferable?
Yes! Whoever brings a ticket gets the racing bib!
