March for Marco Race Description

We are 12 girls from Girl Scout Troop 36015. Together we are working towards our Silver Award. Girl Scout Silver Award- is the highest award a Girl Scout Cadette can earn. This award represents our commitment to make a difference in our community, educate, inspire others and leave a lasting impression. When we heard about a boy named Marco from our community that was recently diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma; we immediatly knew we wanted to do something for him. We quickly we came up with an idea for "March for Marco". We want to show Marco that he is important to us and to bring Pediatric Cancer Awareness to our community. Most people have never heard of Neuroblastoma, a rare type of cancer that affects infants and young children. It's actually the most common type of cancer in infants. Children diagnosed with Neuroblastoma are usually younger than five, and about 700 new cases are diagnosed each year in the United States. ***ALL PARTICIPANTS WHO REGISTER BY SEPTEMBER 1ST WILL RECEIVE A "MARCH FOR MARCO" T-SHIRT
