GECUF Community Uplift 5K Run/Walk

Welcome to the 5th Annual Community Uplift 5K!

The Community Uplift 5K is a fun run/walk to promote healthy lifestyles and support the programs of the Greater Essex Community Uplift Foundation (GECUF).

 Click here to learn more about GECUF. This year, the 5K will be in-person with the start/finish line at the Omega Family Resource and Learning Center. After the 5K, we'll have a post-race celebration at the OFRLC. We'll also be conducting a health fair throughout the day.

This event will be conducted in partnership with the Eta Pi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.

1. When is the event?

The event is May 17, 2025, at 9 AM.

Doors will open at 8 AM

2. Where is the event?

The event is located at The Omega Family Resource and Learning Center, 132 South Harrison St., East Orange, NJ 07018

3. What's the price?

$25 per participant. Register by April 30th and you're guaranteed to receive a free t-shirt on race day. After that, we'll do our best but can't make any promises.

4. Where do I park?

We have a parking lot at 95 Evergreen Pl behind our building. If that is full, there is street parking on Evergreen Pl.

5. Where we will be running/walking?

6. I don't want to run, but how can I help?

There are a couple of ways you can help the event. We are in need of race day volunteers, so we'd love to have you join us and help out. We also welcome donations from those who are unable to attend in person. GECUF is a 501c3 organization, so your donations are tax-deductible.
