5k Run/Walk & Nerf War in Honor of Chance

This year Orthopaedic Specialists of Northwest Indiana's 4th annual 5k Run/Walk will be in honor of Chance Foster Jurgens of Munster. Chance lost his life on a playground across from his home in May. Chance loved everything Nerf and Lego. Cars, hot rods, and all kinds of unique vehicles interested him greatly. He loved the color hot pink along with any other bright color to compliment his beautiful and bright personality. Chance overcame so many obstacles that come with having autism and always wanted to help everyone. As such, in honor of Chance we want to carry on his quest to help others. There is no fee for the race or event however, we are kindly asking for monetary and Lego donations. Lego sets will be collected at the event and donated to an Autism society for underprivileged autistic children. Monetary proceeds (100%) will go to the Munster Police Department to help purchase a new police dog trained to work with Autistic Children. Chance has always been very involved in the D.A.R.E. program and Chance's Mother, Dawn, would love to help provide a police dog for the department to help comfort Autistic children in honor of her son.

*Chance had a love for nerf guns and one of his favorite things to do was have nerf wars. Chance's Mother would like to have a nerf gun war to honor her son and we would love to see all the kids enjoying this! Please bring your own nerf equipment if your child would like to participate. *Adults can participate as well!
