Race For Freedom 5K and Fun Run

Love running? Love walking with friends? Looking for a worthy cause? Join the Race for Freedom!

International Justice Mission is a Christ-centered organization that protects the poor from violence in the developing world. They work to fight against slavery, sex trafficking, sexual violence, police brutality, property grabbing and citizens' rights abuse all over the world.

Terre Haute-area natives, Scott and Katie Small, and their three children, currently serve in Chiang Mai, Thailand, with International Justice Mission. The IJM Chiang Mai office works to grant citizenship to hill tribe members in Northern Thailand, and to protect children who are victims of sexual abuse. Katie volunteers as an English Language Fellow to provide formal English training to the Thai staff in order to improve communication within the organization and collaboration with other NGOs.

The one mile Kids' Fun Run will begin at 8:30 AM and is for children up to 12 years of age. The 5K will begin at 9:00 AM and is open to all ages. All proceeds from the race will go to support the Small family in their year abroad, as their role with IJM is strictly voluntary.
