Orangeandblackgetfit Water Run/Walk 5k-

Come join #orangeandblackgetfit and Operation Veterans Helping Veterans for our 7th Annual Hero Hustle 5k Walk/Run. To celebrate 7 years, we are doing a TIMED WATER RUN!

We are excited to honor our military men and women in our surrounding communities. All proceeds will go directly to support the Veterans and the #orangeandblackgetfit team in order to continue both non-profit programs.

All Veterans are FREE! Please contact Autumn Hendershot (740-624-1617 or via Facebook) to show proof of service. Children 9 and under are also FREE (shirt NOT included).

Please come between 9:20-9:40 a.m to pick up your shirt and Newcomerstown Free day pass, register last minute, and get pumped up with Mega Music Professional DJ Service. Registering the morning of the race does not guarantee a shirt. We will be located at the pavilion in front of the Cy Young pool in Newcomerstown. Parking will be at the park, near the baseball field. All participants will receive water and a snack.

The opening ceremony will begin at 9:45 a.m with the Newcomerstown American Legion and Operation Veterans Helping Veterans. The walk/run will begin at 10:00 a.m and end at 11:00 a.m. All participants will be able to jump into the Cy Young pool to finish off their WATER RACE! An awards presentation will take place back at the pavilion at 11:15 a.m for the top 3 male, female, and under fifteen categories. Afterwards, all participants can enjoy a well-deserved lunch at the food truck located near the entrance of the pool.

SHIRTS- Shirts are included when you register. If you would like an additional tee (for $25), please message Ashley Klier (740-294-1378 or via Facebook) by June 27, 2024.

HONORING OUR HEROES- If you would like to recognize or support a specific veteran this year, for an additional $10 you can get their name added to the back of our t-shirt! Please send your money via VENMO (or other type of payment) and the Veteran's name to Ashley Klier (740-294-1378 or via Facebook) by June 29, 2024.

DONATIONS-If you would like to donate, please contact Autumn Hendershot (740-624-1617 or at aut.hendershot@gmail.com). Please provide donations by June 27, 2024- this will ensure we have enough time to order our materials needed for this event.
