This is still a couple of months away but in the past walkers were allowed in the pool which is a safety hazard to everybody. When you're swimming hard face down in the pool smashing into walkers doesn't provide a good experience. The last one I did the cop at Willowbrook and Prairie Hill wasn't watching traffic (he was standing in the street looking at his cell phone) and I was nearly hit by a car. This could be a good race if organizers were more conscientious about participant safety and not getting as many people into the race in spite of their inability to swim or even tred water on their own.

Great Tri
Great Tri for any ability! It is important to enter a correct swim time. The swim snakes around the lanes of the pool so the fastest swimmers go first and so on until the slowest swimmer enters the water. The bike is a nice course with some hills but the roads are open so be alert. The run is partially gravel and very pleasant running through the woods and around the pond at North Pointe. There is also a festival for the kids. I look forward to it every year and am so happy it is back after covid! I'm already looking forward to next year!
