Marathon Park Prep

Join us for the annual Marathon Park Prep 13.1 Mile Race on Saturday March 18, 2017. The race begins and ends at Marathon Park, which marks the original starting line area for Boston’s marathon for its first 27 years, from 1897-1923.

The MPP Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile course running through picturesque Ashland Massachusetts. The half marathon course is a mixture of flats and hills at some points running the Boston Marathons traditional route through Ashland and also running parallel to the Subdury River and at others skirting Ashland State Park.  The starting line is at Marathon Park on Pleasant Street.

After Race:  Lunch & Medals.  Adult beverage for adult (21+) runners is available at the lower level lounge of the VFW and any alcohol must be consumed inside the VFW. Soda also available at the lounge.

Free parking is available at 6 lots 

This event is brought to you by the Ashland Sports Authority, a non-profit incorporated in 2013.  The race has community support from many of the town's business community and the efforts of many community members and volunteers.
