Hugs From David Race Description

Race Purpose:

The second annual Hugs from David 5k Run/Walk in Honor of David Bouvier.
 
A young teen with a deep love for cross country running, family, friends and community, David always had the time to listen to others and offer encouragement, often in the form of a big hug.
 
The Hugs from David 5k run/walk honors David’s memory and celebrates just a few of things that made him special, while raising money for important causes and organizations.  
 
Hugs from David is committed to supporting local charities and programs that continue David’s life philosophy, and all profits from the event will be donated to organizations focused on creating stronger, more resilient children and youth.

Proceeds:

The Hugs From David 5k is commited to  supporting student mental health and providing resources for leading a healthy life. Proceeds from this event will go towards supporting Lake Orion Community School S.O.S. (Students Offering Support).

Course Description:

Join us on the beautiful, yet challenging, grounds of Lake Orion High School. This course will include hills, trails, a puddle (or two), and a flat finish. All are welcome from seasoned racers with eyes set on a PR to walkers interested in some great exercise in some great scenery.

Online Registration ends on May 30 by midnight. There will be on site registration starting at 7:30 am and ending at 8:45 am.

When:

Race: June 1, 2019. Start time @ 9:00 am.

Packet Pick-up: Around the starting line behind LOHS, near the football practice field. Parking is available in the lower lot and the upper student lot.

T-Shirts:

T-shirts are available for $15 and will be for sale until May 19 at midnight. Additional t-shirts will be available on site.

Swag:

The first 250 participants will receive a swag bag with HFD gear!
