Heel 2 Heal 5k Run/Walk hosted by Out of the Dark

Out of the Dark's Inaugural Heel 2 Heal 5K is a unique and empowering fundraising event bringing together runners, walkers, friends, and supporters for a fun and impactful Spring day to run, walk, or donate to help victims who have been affected by domestic violence and to support our programs and services throughout DuPage and Kane Counties. All money raised at the Heel 2 Heal 5K helps us continue to serve women and promote awareness of the impact and consequences of violence in our communities. Through comprehensive programs, Out of the Dark assists survivors of destructive relationships in transforming their lives and prevents future abuse by addressing its root cause. We address and treat the whole self; body, mind, and spirit. Out of the Dark also educates the community about domestic violence and how we can all be involved in its end. Services include court advocacy, individual therapy, support groups, job search assistance, financial assistance, and prevention education.
