This is my 10th year. It has gotten better every year. It is ran for the participants. Once the plans go into effect the employees & volunteers make it work. The local sponsors make it possible also. The Swag is best hands down from all the races Tri, Bike & Runs I have participated in since I started over a decade ago. I have participated in 3 different age groups in this run & enjoyed each year. I am over weight, over 70 & been through cancer, seizures as well as diagnosed with COPD as well as Asthma. This race my be challenging but not impossible. It is also a time to enjoy friends, family & make new ones. My older brother drives 200+ miles to enjoy the weekend & run. For me it is family event for food & libations. I can tell you where we eat the night before as well as lunch afterwards. It is a form of tourism that Smith County & the City of Tyler cannot provide - word of mouth as well as participation. It brings in people to Tyler which support local businesses. It builds the local economy. Thank you Brookshires, Fresh & all those who put it together every year.
