18th Annual Rural Hall 5K & 10K Run

Benefiting Rural Hall Elementary School - Join us for the 18th running of this beloved community event, where every stride supports the students of Rural Hall Elementary! Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking to walk for a cause, we’ve got something for everyone.

Race Day Schedule

10K Start: 8:00 AM
5K Start: 8:15 AM

Certified Courses

Both the 5K and 10K are USA Track & Field certified, with a gun start and chip timing for precise results.

• 5K Course: A completely flat, out-and-back route along a blocked lane of Hwy 65—ideal for young runners, walkers, and strollers.
• 10K Course: A two-loop route with three early hills, followed by a fast, flat finish. It’s a favorite among runners aiming for personal best.

Awards & Prizes

• Top 3 Overall Male & Female in both races receive trophies
• Olympic-style medals awarded in age groups:
• 5K only: Under 10, 10–14
• 10K only: Under 15
• Both races: 15–19, 20–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65–69, 70+

Bonus: Wear your best Halloween costume in the 5K for a chance to win $50, $30, or $20 cash prizes!

Water Stations & Finish Line Treats

• 5K: Two water station passes
• 10K: Three water station passes
• Finish Line: Bottled water plus a delicious spread—Krispy Kreme doughnuts, chocolate milk, cookies, fruit, Gatorade, and more!

• Live DJ spinning tunes throughout the event
• Piedmont Cheering Hearts senior squad welcoming runners at the finish
• Photo ops during our in-person award ceremonies
• Spectator-friendly course with enthusiastic volunteers and community support

Registration & Packet Pick-Up

Early Packet Pick-Up:
 - Thursday, Oct 23: Noon–5 PM
 - Friday, Oct 24: 9 AM–4 PM
 - Location: AgSouth Farm Credit, 340 Bethania-Rural Hall Rd

Race Day Packet Pick-Up & Registration:
 - Opens at 6:15 AM at Mayflower Seafood Restaurant
 - Pre-registered runners after Oct 22 at 6 PM can pick up packets inside the restaurant
 - Online and walk-up registration available on race day
 

Race Guidelines:

• For safety reasons, no pets allowed (except service dogs).
• Cyclists will follow the final runner to ensure everyone finishes safely and to help finalize results quickly.
