First Annual MyBFF 8.13K

Welcome to the Second Annual Fundraising Walk in support of My Best Friends Foundation.  This foundation raises money to provide support to Friends fighting cancer and supports families who have lost someone to cancer. 

The walk is in honor of Rod Wittig and Sharon Berryhill.  Rod passed from this world on May 2, 2020.  On August 13, 2020, Rod would have turned 50 years old.  8.13K is approximately 5.0 miles.  These numbers are a perfect way to honor Rod's memory. 

The 2021 My BFF 8.13k walk will be on August 14th. You can participate virtually or in person and walk or run as little or as much as you can. The first wave is scheduled to start at 9:30. The second wave is scheduled to start at 10:45.  Depending on the number of registrations, we may end up with staggered start times within these two waves.  Watch your email for any additional information prior to the day of the event.  Once you have your start time, please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your start time.  The event will be held at Eisenhower Junior High School in Hoffman Estates. 

Each paid registration will receive a t-shirt for the walk.  In person walkers will receive their shirt on the day of the walk. Virtual walkers' t-shirts will be mailed.  We will try to ensure you receive them before the day of the walk, depending on when you register.  YOU MUST REGISTER BY AUGUST 2 IN ORDER TO GET YOUR T-SHIRT ON TIME!!

Early registration is $35 per person, through July 14, 2021 and $40 per person after that. T-shirts will be light gray and extras can be purchased for $25 each this year. 

You can also buy raffle tickets for some great prizes, which will range in value from a few dollars to several hundred.  Prizes will be given away on the day of the walk.  There will also be silent auction items and other surprises.
