F.E. Warren Race for Research
F.E. Warren Race for Research Description
Spring is almost here Mighty Niney, and what better way to celebrate that fact than coming out and racing to support Down Syndrome Research! Alpha Flight of the 90th SFS is proud to host the second annual F.E. Warren Race for Research on World Down Syndrome Day, in partnership with the National Down Syndrome Society.
This 3.21 mile race symbolizes the 3 copies of the 21st chromosome that cause Down Syndrome and the funds raised by this event go directly to supporting research for treatment and education for those born with Down Syndrome. Starting at the Paintball Field on Missile Drive, this exhilarating course stretches up to the hill by Building 1501 and back down.
Not much of a runner? Don't worry! This race is set up for participants of all types; from runners, to walkers, to those that want to shoulder a rucksack for that extra challenge. All are welcome on March 21st, so won't you join us at 0800 and have a little fun, get a little tired, and support a great cause?
