ENGAGE 5K Run & Afterparty

Come join Equity Network & Friends for the Juneteenth Weekend Celebration at the 1st Annual ENGAGE 5K Run & After party!

Date & Location: Friday, June 22nd, 2018 at Jackson Park, Chicago, IL

5K RUN: 4:00 PM
Start/Finish: Jackson Park - Running Paths / 31st Harbor Beach

Parking: Parking will be available for free along the streets, but are first come, first serve. There is a parking lot across the street from Jackson Park where you can park at a small fee per hour.

We encourage the use of carpooling, Uber, Lyft, and public transportation.

5K Swag: This vibrant experience is filled up with prizes and giveaways! All 5K participants will receive a ENGAGE 5K shirt and a ticket to our Secret After party at the finish line. (After party only for ages 18+)

Awards: The top 3 Male & Female Finishers in each age group in the 5K RUN receive a SHRS coin to hold for the future of Equity. Age groups are as follows: Min to Max Age Limit 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.

The awards ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m. at 31st Harbor. 

Finisher Medal: All 5K run participants will receive a medal upon finishing the race.

Timing: The ENGAGE 5K is an officially timed event.

Packet Pick-up: Pre-race packet pick-up is TBD.

Race day packet pick-up will be available at Jackson Park. PPU will close EXACTLY the times listed below so please come early and expect lines!

5K Run PPU 2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m

Refunds: Since the ENGAGE 5K has many upfront costs, we have a strict and uniform policy of no refunds, no person-to-person transfer, or no deferrals to a future year. We do understand that plans change, injuries happen, and various situations arise, but, we feel it is most fair to apply a uniform policy to all, instead of a subjective line of who should receive a refund and who doesn’t. All purchases and sales are 100% final, no exceptions. Refunds will not be issued based on weather conditions. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Volunteers/Support: Volunteer for a ENGAGE 5K and earn a Supporters Pass and a ticket to the Afterparty at the end of the run. You can race on the 2nd day of our event. You also get a free meal and beverage while being in a super fun environment. Charities and non-profit organization can also receive monetary donations for having volunteers at our events. We offer flexible hours and a variety of fun assignments. Email us about details and availability at networkequity@gmail.com
