Betty Becker Memorial Walk/Run

Saturday, October 10, 2015 1 Mile Walk & 5k Run Fireman’s Park, Columbus WI The Betty Becker Walk/Run remembers a great champion of Columbus causes, Betty Becker. Betty’s lively spirit and can-do attitude inspired many of us, including the Step Sisters, a group formed by Betty to carry on the spirit of philanthropy and good will. Each year, the Step Sisters join together for this memorial event to raise funds for a community cause. This year the Sisters are expanding the walk to a walk/run to reach more neighbors, family and friends. Register Prior To Event $25 Per Pre-registered Participant By September 22, 2015 Registration At Event $30 Per Participant By September 22, 2015 Shirts are not guaranteed to those who do not pre-register. Youth shirts will only be provided to those who pre-register. October 10, 2015 8:00 a.m. - Registration/Check-In 9:00 a.m. - 5K Run Starts 9:15 a.m. - 1 Mile Walk Starts All proceeds from this event will be used to place hydrations stations within local middle schools as apart of a coordinated wellness initiative with the Live It! Program. Live It! Pre-teen Nutrition and Fitness Program held by Columbus Community Hospital within the Columbus & Fall River Middle Schools. This program aims to decrease obesity within our communities by teaching middle school aged youth about nutrition and the importance of physical activity and how it incorporates into their overall wellness.
