The American Hero Challenge is a 5k obstacle course race to honor our police, fire, and military personnel that have given so much to our way of life. Proceeds for the event will benefit the Feed My Starving Children organization. There will be a $50.00 registration fee for all participants. Spectators and parking will be free, however, donations are greatly appreciated. There will be a "hero heat" specifically for the police, fire, and military (active or retired). There will also be a heat for the general public. Awards will be issued for the top "hero" finishers and age group awards for the general public.
Where: Independence Pioneer Village Oakland, Illinois
When: May 26th, 2018 First heat will begin at noon.
Age: The public race will be for ages 13 and over.
There will be food and beverages available for purchase. Bring your lawn chairs and make a day of it.
