9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

September 11, 2001, is a day that will never be forgotten. Over the years there have been many events to help us remember all who gave their lives to help others.

We invite you to join us for a remembrance 110-flight STAIR CLIMB in the beautiful new Maritime Lighthouse Tower at the Door County Maritime Museum, with gorgeous views overlooking the local waterway and Sturgeon Bay.

The stair climb will consist of climbing 11 flights of stairs to the roof, around the observation deck, and back down to the main floor, you will have to do this 10 times to achieve the 110 flights. The climb is not a race and is meant to be a remembrance climb, meaning the stairwell will not have any music or sounds playing during the climb. Each climber will carry a remembrance card of a First Responder who gave their lives on September 11^th. At the completion, the Sturgeon Bay Fire/Police Honor Guard will be present where you will return your card and an Honorary Bell will be sounded for the person you are remembering during your stair climb.
