500 Festival mini-mini

Kids are taking over the world’s largest sporting venue on Sunday, August 29, for the 500 Festival mini-mini kids’ run! The mini-mini is a timed fun run designed specifically for kids ages 5-12 and provides Indiana’s youth with an experience similar to the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon. With four different distances, ranging from .5 miles to 3 miles, kids can pick the race that best meets their age and ability. All races will finish at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s famed Yard of Bricks – just like the Indy 500! This year’s participants have the option to participate in-person at the event or virtually.

Every mini-mini participant, both in-person and virtual, will receive a technical t-shirt, a participant drawstring bag, and a finisher’s medal.

Mini-mini participants will experience the larger-than life fun of a 500 Festival running event – complete with course entertainment, cheering sections, and the coveted mini-mini medal.

Runners and fans can enjoy the mini-mini’s Celebration Zone before and after their race. The Celebration Zone will feature fun, interactive activities for children of all ages and a wide range of exhibitors who believe in the importance of a healthy lifestyle for Indiana’s youth.
