Ulster County SPCA Doggie Dash

We are in the process of setting this race up as a virtual event, and will update the race details soon.

Registration is $25 for people (no cost for dogs, obviously!).

All proceeds from the race will benefit the Ulster County SPCA. To learn about the work of the Ulster County SPCA and their mission to provide shelter, medical care and adoption opportunities to abused, neglected and homeless animals in Ulster County, please visit www.ucspca.org.

Dogs must be vaccinated, well-behaved and on a leash no longer than 6 feet (no flexi-leads allowed).

Awards:

The Doggie Cup – The top Dog/Human team finishers for both the male and females runners will receive special awards.

Solo Runners – Awards to the Top male and female overall finishers.

Rules For Racing With Your Dog

ALL DOGS MUST BE LEASHED AT ALL TIMES THROUGHOUT THE EVENT

• Limit one dog per runner.

• Dogs must at least 1-year of age.

• Dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations.

• Dogs must be fully socialized with both people and other dogs.

• Leashes should be no longer than 6-feet.

• Please keep leash short at the starting line to avoid entanglement with other racers.

• No choke, pinch or spike collars.

• No retractable leashes.

• No dogs in heat.

• Please clean up after your dog.

• Runners 17-years and under handling a dog participate at the discretion of the race officials.

• Water stations and waste bags will be available.
