The Color Bomb Business Fun Run

The Ayden Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Ayden is adding a little bit of spice to the business community with a 5k color fun run! Come walk, run, jog, skip, or even dance through Ayden while being "bombed" with beautiful, vibrant, colored (and washable) chalk followed by a color explosion dance party for runners and non runners! This is a family friendly event for all ages! 

Runners 5 and up are $35 each.  Each runner gets a Race pack that includes a Color Bomb shirt to wear on race day, colorful sticker, temporary tattoos, an individual pack of color for the Color Explosion at the end of the race, a pair of colorful sunglass to wear on race day, a bracelet and cool swag from the race sponsors! 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Not interested in running or walking but still want to participate? Are you or do you have a teenage student that needs community service hours for school? Do you just like throwing colored chalk at people? Whatever the reason we have a place for you in the Color Bomb Business Fun Run! We need volunteers to enhance the FUN in this fun run! WHAT TO EXPECT

Friday, October 13th, participants will come and pick up there race packets. Check in for the run starts Saturday, October 14th at 7:30 am. The run will kick off at 8:30am.

During the walk/run, participants will encounter three sponsored Color Bombing Stations where volunteers will bomb them with beautiful, bright colored, washable chalk! At the end of the run we will have a BIG color explosion that both participants and non participants can take part in! Individual color packets will be sold before and during the event for non participants to "bomb" their runners as they cross the finish line and for the ending Color Explosion. Vendors will be set up as well. 

Participants are encouraged to wear the white Color Bomb shirt or any white shirt to showcase the color they are bombed with. Wear fun tutus, sun glasses ( because they look cool and will protect eyes from the chalk), hats and anything else fun and colorful! Come photo ready and do it for the gram! Make sure to bring a few beach towels to brush off with and to cover your car seats for the ride home. 

LOCAL BUSINESSES

We encourage you to join us in cheering on the participants. You are welcome to stand outside of your business and play music and cheer. The Chamber will be selling color packets if you would like to purchase some to "bomb" participants as they pass. These can be purchased here on the site or by contacting the Chamber office.
