Summit Challenge Race Description

Pick your distance and pedal through the gorgeous northern Utah’s Summit and Wasatch counties. The Summit Challenge is a fully supported road ride and fundraiser for the National Ability Center and offers a choice of a 16, 25, 50, 80 or 100-mile course to fit your level of experience. All courses are fully supported for adaptive riders.

The Summit Challenge is an annual fundraiser. All proceeds benefit the National Ability Center, a non-profit organization located in Park City, Utah with a mission of empowering individuals of all abilities by building self-esteem, confidence and lifetime skills through sport, recreation and educational programs.

Friday, August 27th:

  • 7:30am- 10:30am and 4pm-7pm: Early Registration Check In & Packet Pick Up Drive Thru
  • Location: Sports Field Parking Lot below the NAC (600 Gillmor Way, Park City, UT 84060)

Saturday, August 28th

  • 6:00am: Drive Thru Registration Check In & Packet Pick Up
  • Location: Sports Field Parking Lot below the NAC (600 Gillmor Way, Park City, UT 84060)
  • 7:00am: 100 Mile Start
  • *Riders with a disability who are riding the 100, 80 or 50-mile courses are welcome to start at 7:00 am*
  • 8:00am: 80 Mile Start
  • 9:00am: 50 Mile Start        
  • 10:00am: 16 & 25 Mile Start
  • 11:00am: Event Village Opens 
  • 11:30am: Lunch/Beer Available in Event Village
  • 1:00pm: Discovery Loop 
  • 2:30pm: Awards (Main Stage)
  • 4:00pm: Event Village and Course Close

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), current data suggests the risk of transmission of SARS-CoV-2 in outdoor settings is minimal. In general, fully vaccinated people do not need to wear a mask outdoors. Fully vaccinated people are encouraged to wear a mask in crowded outdoor settings or if they or someone in their household is immunocompromised.

Due to the nature of the event being mostly outdoors, we recommend that unvaccinated and immunocompromised individuals wear masks at Summit Challenge, but masks will not be required when outside for participants, staff, volunteers, or vendor.  All staff and volunteers serving food and/or beverages are required to wear masks and gloves.

Masks will be required for ALL Individuals when entering a National Ability Center building. Masks will be available at all National Ability Center building entrances. We will also have masks available at registration/check in and at the National Ability Center Outreach tent in the vendor village. Please remember to bring a mask with you when attending the event

We also request that anyone with Covid-19 symptoms do not attend, if you are not feeling well, please stay home.
