Scott Meyer Memorial 5K Race Description
The Scott Meyer Memorial 5k Run will be taking place on Saturday, June 17th in the Village of Millbrook. The event will begin at 7am. This run is dedicated to Scott Meyer, and is being put together by the Millbrook High School Interact Club. Scott is the late owner of the Merritt Bookstore in Millbrook. He was heavily involved in student and volunteer activities in the village. Scott spent many years coaching youth soccer, as well as being the Interact Club adviser for a time too. He was an extremely eclectic man who inspired many on a daily basis. This run was created last year, by George Ouimet, in order to remember the spirit of Scott, and remind ourselves that we are all capable of positively changing our community. All proceeds from this event will go toward the Scott Meyer Memorial Fund of Grace Church.
