Sawyerville 5K

Join us for the 10th Sawyerville 5K!

St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Greensboro invites you to run or walk in this family-friendly race. There's even a one-mile fun run with a color powder toss!

In honor of this being the 10th race, we want to register at least 10 teams. Ask your parish, office, club, or family to sign up with you! Teams are encouraged to show as much team spirit as possible--matching t-shirts, costumes, and themes are all welcome. Awards will be given for Largest Team, Most-Spirited Team, Best Team Decor, Most-Creative Team Name, and Most Faraway Team.

The first 115 racers who register will receive a race water bottle. All participants will receive our special race medal, a handmade wooden cross. Blue Bell ice cream and breakfast biscuits will be shared with everyone, as well.

All proceeds will benefit Sawyerville. Sawyerville, a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama, creates opportunities for children and youth in Hale County, Alabama through free summer programs, mentoring, and scholarships.

Race Day Schedule:

8:00am - Registration opens and biscuits served

9:00am - Race begins

10:00am - Awards ceremony with Blue Bell ice cream

After the race, stick around and spend your day in historic Greensboro! We recommend lunch at a local restaurant, a visit to the Safe House Black History Museum (be sure to make an appointment), and shopping at one of the many boutique and antique shops.
